Get started with ApexTask in just a few minutes! Here's a step-by-step guide to begin your productivity journey.

Step 1: Set Up Your Profile

  1. Open Settings

    Click on "Settings" in the sidebar.

  2. Enter Your Name

    Click on the profile icon and enter your display name. This is used for personalized greetings.

  3. Choose Your Theme

    Toggle between dark and light themes based on your preference.

Step 2: Create Your First Task

  1. Click "+ New Task"

    Find this button in the top-right corner of the header.

  2. Enter Task Details

    Type your task title, select a priority, and choose a date.

  3. Save the Task

    Click "Create Task" to add it to your list.

Step 3: Set Up a Goal

  1. Navigate to "My Goals"

    Click on "My Goals" in the sidebar.

  2. Create a New Goal

    Click "Create Goal" and enter a goal name and duration.

  3. Check In Daily

    Come back each day to check in and build your streak!

Step 4: Build Your Daily Routine

  1. Go to "Daily Routine"

    Click on "Daily Routine" in the sidebar.

  2. Add Routine Items

    Click "Add Routine" to add habits you want to track daily.

  3. Check Off Completed Items

    Each day, mark the routines you've completed.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your computer using browser localStorage. Your data never leaves your device.

Currently, ApexTask is a single-device application. Cloud sync may be added in future versions.

How do I backup my data?

Go to Settings → Export Data to download a JSON backup of all your tasks, goals, and routines.

I lost my streak - can I recover it?

Streaks are designed to encourage daily consistency. While you can't recover a broken streak, you can always start building a new one!
